Writing of a Doctoral Thesis
The provisions for the regulation of doctoral studies (decision of the General Assembly of the Department 4/19-12-2017, approval of the Senate of D.I.T. 85/52/21-12-2017) of the Department of Production and Management Engineering at DUTH are based on the legislative framework that governs the organization and operation of higher education in Greece (Law 4485/2017, Official Gazette A’ 114 and other relevant provisions and decisions in force). Special issues not provided for in the provisions and concern the more general process of preparing a doctoral thesis are attended by the General Assembly of the Department of Production Engineering and Management on a case-by-case basis.
Studies for obtaining a Doctorate Degree are offered free of charge.
They provide expertise in the knowledge and related fields of the Department of Production Engineering and Management, aim to create high-quality scientific research, and build scientists capable of contributing to the advancement of science, research, and applications. The PhDs of the Department are intended to enter the educational, research, and business higher ranks of Greece and abroad.
