SHORT CV

He holds a Diploma in Engineering (2006) and a PhD (2010) in Production and Management Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. His expertise is in the fields of Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain Management. His research interests include relevant applications of simulation, Markov chains, evolutionary algorithms, Reinforcement Learning, neural networks, and fuzzy control, among others. He is a regular EPPM member, topic editor in scientific journal Buildings, and reviewer in numerous international journals. He was a recipient of a two-year post-doctoral scholarship from IKY and a mobility grant for training in the Industrial Management Research Group of the University of Seville under the Erasmus+ program. Currently, he is Assistant Professor and Head of the Logistics Lab with the Production and Management Engineering Department of the Democritus University of Thrace. In addition, he is an Adjunct Lecturer at the postgraduate program Supply Chain Management of the Hellenic Open University, and the postgraduate program Innovation, Technology and Business Management of the Democritus University of Thrace. He has authored 2 books, 22 journal papers, 4 book chapters and 17 conference papers/announcements. He has worked in 9 funded projects as principal investigator or team member.
