Course Description
Introduction of the student to the analysis of common transmission systems such as belts (flat and trapezoidal), toothed wheels (straight and endless screw-crown) and chains. During the semester, the student will become familiar with the design and analysis of these components, gaining knowledge of their dynamics, strength, construction and maintenance procedures, etc. The course aims to introduce the engineering candidate to the design, study and analysis of common transmission systems found in an industrial plant and their individual parts and to acquire skills that will help him/her to understand other scientific areas of the Production Engineering specialization such as Robotics, Automatic Control Systems, etc.
Purpose of the course
